Fiftytwo Showroom knows that New York is the fashion capital of the world, but we’ve got love for the west coast too. We’ll be conducting a pop-up showroom during Los Angeles Market Week from October 14th to 18th. Ten of our designers will be exhibiting at LA’s Cooper Design Space.
Our pop-up showroom will feature Spring/Summer 2013 lines from Abi Ferrin, EM, Etiquette Clothiers, Fiona Paxton, Jaunt, Osklen, Rodebjer, Salinas, Serpui Marie, Timo Weiland, and Verano High.

Three of our menswear designers, Richard Chai, Robert Geller, and Timo Weiland, are featured in today’s WWD cover story, Which Men’s Designer Will Hit the Big Time? by writer David Lipke.
Richard Chai’s Spring 2103 runway show took place yesterday, September 6, but his vision began this past March.
Even before his first sketch, the designer had an image for his menswear and Richard Chai Love lines. “Light” – that was the word Chai used to describe his collection. “In the beginning, you have to imagine what your vision will look like,” said Chai.
The designer, depicted below before his runway show, used sheer nylon and printed floral silk throughout his pieces. “There was a winning lightness of spirit to these clothes. They looked fun to wear,” said Maya Singer of Style.com.
Chai’s fashion show, which was held at Lincoln Center yesterday, featured dark denim dresses, cropped halter tops, and flare skirts. His menswear line featured sheer polos and athletic references. “All of it was perfect for the hip urban warrior Chai has always known exactly how to dress,” raved Dhani Mau of Fashionista.com.

Last week, The Fiftytwo Showroom team said goodbye to New York and Hello! Miami. The occasion- The Miami Swim Show. The MO- Bikinis. To give you a bit of a taste of our experience, I’ve put together this photo diary.
The Convention Center, a giant skeleton of a building , suddenly found itself full of pop-up shops selling every kind of bikini that you could possibly imagine. Of course, we had the coolest spot, hosting 9 brands- Adriana Degreas, Clube Bossa, Jo de Mer, Marzia Genesi Sea, Olasul, Osklen, Tooshie, Verano High. Needless to say, we were very popular. Our Amazonian models donned the itsy bitsy bikinis and caftans alike, while buyers from around the world took note.
Of course, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. We had to see what Big Willy Style meant when he said “Bienvenido a Miami.” Thankfully, we didn’t have to go very far. Our hotel, The Standard, had a pool and a vibe to rival St. Tropez. The pool had the greatest concentration of attractive people I think I’ve ever seen. All of a sudden, I understood why the Miami Swim Show is located in Miami- cuz they make bikinis look gooood.
Fortunately, we brought a bit of Miami back with us. To schedule an appointment to see the collections contact Jessica@Fiftytwoshowroom.com

With Father’s Day approaching, what better time to mention one of Fiftytwo’s favorite duos: Menswear designer Robert Geller and daughter, Luna Geller. Not only is Robert talented in what he designs but he continues that energy into being the best father that he can be, and we can vouch for this! Little Luna seems to be adopting her own sense of style when she spends her time staring over her father’s shoulder at his studio and then trotting up front to the showroom to spend time with Mommy Ana. Robert says, “Luna comes into my office and stays with me while I’m working. She sits at the table next to me while I’m sketching and she has her markers out, doing her thing.”
This adorable father/daughter duo was just featured on Park & Bond’s website where they referred to him as one of the ”Most Stylish Dads in NYC.”
