It was no doubt there was a heightened trend of all-white looks for the Men’s Spring 2013 shows. The cool white statement creates relaxed, sporty silhouettes that are easily translated from the runway to this summer’s parties. Warm up your wardrobe with these three, tonal looks by Timo Weiland, Richard Chai and Robert Geller.

The International Woolmark Prize recognizes the creativity of Merino Wool in Fashion Design. The Woolmark competition is notable for launching the careers of Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld. Last year, Sophie Theallet won the U.S. competition, and Belgium’s Christian Wijnants won the International Woolmark Prize in February.

One winner from the talented roster will be named on July 9th in New York. They will receive $100,000 to use toward their next collection.  The winning Designer will go on to represent the U.S. in the esteemed competition in Milan next February, along with finalists from Australia, China, Europe and India. The international winner will take home an additional $100,000 to be put towards their next fashion show.  The international prize recipient will also have the opportunity to have their collection sold at premier global retailers such as 10 Corso Como, Bergdorf Goodman, David Jones, Eickhoff, and Harvey Nichols UK.

A look from Field Scout’s Spring | Summer 2013 Collection

Field Scout is a brand inspired by classic military tailoring and innovative utilitarian design. Created in Fall 2010, under the direction of Ryan Hartman, Field Scout’s mission is to unify superior fabrics with subtle detailing and a functional color palette.

The concept is to create timeless clothing for men that provides a guideline to influence one’s own unique style. For seasonal inspiration, Field Scout focuses on a specific global region, and weaves that into the overarching look and feel of the collection.

Traditionally, the term ‘Field Scout’ is a simple translation for American Indian protectors and leaders. Now it can be interpreted as a collection for the mobile modern man.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America and Details magazine have partnered to create limited-edition pocket squares with 10 of Today’s foremost American designers. The pocket squares will be auctioned off at Tomorrow night’s CFDA x DETAILS event, and starting December 5th, another run of 10 pocket squares per designer will be sold on Bonobos.com for $100 each (all proceeds go to the CFDA fund). Designers featured include Robert Geller, Richard Chai, Rag & Bone, Band of Outsiders, Michael Bastian, Billy Reid, Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger, John Varvatos and Thom Browne.
