A Welcome to the Weiland Woman

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011

Reunited and it feels so gooood! Joining its well-received other half, the Timo Weiland Fall 2011 women’s collection is now represented by Fiftytwo. The collection was inspired by colonial India, in which design partners Timo Weiland and Alan Eckstein envisioned a fictional trip that Gloria Vanderbilt and Keith Richards embarked upon, circa 1960.  Geometric prints, sixties silhouettes, and bold colors definitely reflect the rocker-socialite vibe, á la Bombay.

In an interview with heartymagazine.com, the TW guys described the Timo Weiland woman as “a confident, well-traveled girl.  She may or may not be model-pretty, it is all about the way she carries herself.  The clothes she curates into everyday are fun, young, and exciting. She is always interesting and engaging in social situations…Our girl definitely loves colorful prints, unexpected silhouettes and dramatic layering options.”
