It’s an unusually warm February day here in NYC, and it seems like a happy coincidence that Brazilian swimwear line Clube Bossa is available today on Net-a-Porter. The Resort 2011 season marks the brand’s first official launch in the US. For those of you unfamiliar with this collection of luxurious suits and cover ups, Clube Bossa was founded in 2006 by Brazilian designer Guilherme Vieira. Clube Bossa is couture for the world of swimwear: each piece is handmade and takes several days for completion. We love the classic pleating on the one pieces, and don’t even get us started on the elegant maxi dress cover up (talk about a day to evening look!). So while it may not be warm enough to hit the beach quite yet, it’s definitely warm enough for some online shopping!

Friday, February 4th, 2011Designer Yoon Chang of Whistle & Flute shares what roused her inspiration for the F/W 2011 collection.
“Normally, I’m mostly inspired by proportion and fabric. I’m not one to use a theme to create a collection,” Chang begins. “But this season, the fabrics willed a story. I think it was the faux badger fur that did it!” She laughs.
“My inspirational woman is this restless shepherdess in the middle of nowhere in England,” Chang further explains. She passes her time away listening to the jam, ska music and soul records willing her life to transform itself into a more glamorous and wild one. So she customizes and cobbles together her fantasy wardrobe and runs away to London to live the life in a metropolis.”
“A little insane, right?” she jokes, “but you’ll get it when you see the pieces-it has a mod and boho feeling to it.”
