There is something to be said about Mother Nature’s ability to inspire different people on different levels. For us, nature’s warm weather incites the desire to shop. And who wouldn’t be provoked by the sunshine, especially considering that our showroom is just blocks away from stores like Opening Ceremony, Topshop, Bloomingdales… well you get the idea.
But for others, nature inspires on a deeper, more profound level. Thus was the inspiration behind Rue: a collection of flora/fauna inspired jewelry. As a contemporary jewelry brand established in New York in 2007, the French-named brand translates to “street,” but also refers to the Ruta evergreen tree in English. Inspired by the designer’s passion for botany, horticulture, and Japanese Flora, Rue features delicately sculpted flower rings and pendants, bird necklaces and charms, and organically-shaped rings and necklaces.
